Selkirk’s New Nation - Manitoba, Canada
A celebration of the heritage and history of Power View-Pine Falls as the inspiration for a ‘Walking Theatre’ play, performed as a joint collaboration between Argyll’s Award winning Walking Theatre Company and pupils of Ecole Powerview School. An exciting collaboration project which not only saw TWTC travel to work and perform in Canada, but we also brought the pupils over to Scotland to perform at Holyrood and on the Isle of Lismore.
SPARC - Haliburton Highlands, Canada
The Walking Theatre Company were invited to speak and perform at the Symposium for Performing Arts in Rural Communities in the stunning Haliburton Highlands in Ontario, Canada in 2014, following the huge success of our Selkirks New Nation production in Manitoba. A fantastic event, which introduced us to the wonderful work taking place in Canada’s rural communities, and a brilliant networking opportunity which opened our eyes to a TWTC Canada tour…watch this space!
